¿tecnologías de tinta digital¿ (pen-based technology).
escribir, dibujar, realizar esquemas y diagramas, producir bocetos, expresar ideas
principales destinatarios, profesores y alumnos.
Benlloch Dualde, JV. (2014). Using patterns to design technology-enhancedlearning scenarios
[EN] Research on designing for learning is a field that has concentrated a lot of efforts in
the context of technology-enhanced settings. This fact has demonstrated the need to
represent learning scenarios using a more formal perspective.
This paper reviews some representation mechanisms which enable the systematic design of learning issues in technological settings, and proposes an approach that applies
pattern notations in an effort to better understand and prepare for different learning
context.
A case study is also described to show the application of these scenarios in a specific technology-enhanced setting for teaching computing curricula. This application
is based on the use of digital ink technologies and demonstrates how patterns may be
able to mediate between pedagogical and technical issues.Buendía García, F.; Benlloch-Dualde, JV. (2011). Using patterns to design technology-enhancedlearning scenarios. eLearning Papers. (27):1-12. http://hdl.handle.net/10251/29658S1122
[EN] This paper presents an innovation research on promoting self-learning in engineering university courses. The work is focused on students' homework activity that consists of producing Learning digital Objects. The digital objects are self-contained and reusable within the course framework attending to a suitable work planning and supported by digital tools. Additionally to help the student on the achievement of curricula competences by producing these objects, the objects are also available to the whole group in the form of a digital collection of self-study material adapted to the group idiosyncrasy. The paper describes a practical case of study, analysesEste trabajo ha sido parcialmente subvencionado por la E.T.S de Ingeniería Informática de la Universitat Politècnica de València.Blanc Clavero, S.; Benlloch-Dualde, JV.
[EN] Learning a language using the Tablet and the digital ink as a means of communication with the teacher and the other

Helping Teachers Create a Dynamic Learning Environment Using Pen-Based Technology
[EN] There is evidence that Pen-based Technologies (PBTs) can facilitate radical changes that would make it
possible to address problems typically associated with lecture-based pedagogical models. In the context of universitylevel
Computer Science studies, there is widespread consensus that PBTs—and tablet PCs, in particular—are tools that
have great potential for encouraging interaction in the classroom and promoting a far more dynamic learning
environment. In view off the complexity of these types of technology and their explosive evolution, it would be advisable
to assist teachers who wish to utilize them by developing strategies based on a conceptualization of their educational
capabilities. With this objective in mind, this article analyzes the use of concept maps as tools for modeling both the
instructional domain and the PBTs domain. To validate the proposed approach, a number of workshops were conducted,
in which professors of Engineering were given a presentation on the educational capabilities of these technologies and
then had the opportunity to experiment with tablet PCs and other digital ink devices. Participants completed a prequestionnaire
at the start of the workshop; its questions were generated from a generic concept map for the instructional
domain, and its purpose was to list each professor’s instructional requirements. Next, recommendations for use were
developed, based on the PBTs concept map, and converted to the questions on a post-questionnaire completed at the end
of the workshop, on which the teachers indicated the degree to which they agreed with the recommendations. More than
70 professors from different departments participated in these workshops, and their overall evaluation was quite
favorable.Benlloch-Dualde, JV.; Buendía García, F.; Cano Escribá, JC.; Blanc Clavero, S.; Lemus Zúñiga, LG. (2013). Helping Teachers Create a Dynamic Learning Environment Using Pen-Based Technology. Empowering Youth Employment through European Digital Bootcamps (EDIBO)
[EN] Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) are transforming every area of economic and social life all around the world. New types of jobs different from the traditional ones are created rapidly. The demand for highly skilled staff who uses technology effectively has become a requirement for success of companies and the growing industry. However, the number of IT graduates is not keeping up with the current demand. In addition, companies have little or no training programs to develop ICT skills. Initiatives from the European Economic Area (EEA) and Norway Grants to support transnational projects for Youth Employment including European Digital Bootcamps (EDIBO) contribute to increase the job opportunities for young people outside of the labour market. In this way the Sustainable Development Goal 8 which aims to “promote sustained, inclusive and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment and decent work for all” could be fulfilled. Nowadays, EDIBO is developing different training labs in order to achieve a success model of all processes involved with the organization, execution and evaluation. The goal of this document is to allow a rapid replication of the intensive ICT training among the partners of the project as well to the social innovation community in general.
[EN] The aim of the educational innovation proposed is the application of
teaching-learning methodologies based in oral expositions, so that more
active learning of the student is gotten and permit to the lecturer to apply
alternative tools of evaluation. The educational innovation has been applied
since 2009/2010 to 2012/2013 course in the subject of ¿Obtaining, Selection,
Processing, and Use of Materials¿, imparted in the Material Engineer
degree in the Higher Technical School of Industrial Engineering. Such
educational innovation consists in the realization of an oral exposition in
group, which is evaluated with a 10 % of the global score of the subject. The
oral exposition is evaluated both the lecturer and the others companions
(evaluation between equals) using a rubric. The evaluation of the educational
innovation proposed is realized by the scores of the students, the polls of the
students, and the autoevaluation of the lecturer. The results show the high
scores obtained by the students in the oral expositions and the high grade of
satisfaction of the students after applying the educational innovation.
Besides, the oral expositions permit that the students acquire new learning
1176-1190. http://hdl.handle.net/10251/144716S1176119
